NUTRITIONIST RECIPE -
This timeless recipe produces perfect spiced apple. The lightly sweetened fruit can be a family friendly side dish. It could also be used as a compliment to pork chops or it can be a fun seasonal topping for a bowl of vanilla ice cream.
5 Braeburn apples, peeled and thinly sliced
1/2 cup Clearly Organic Brown Sugar
2 teaspoons Clearly Organic Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
2 Tablespoons water
1 Tablespoon Clearly Organic Butter
Place first four ingredients in a bowl and toss until evenly distributed. In a medium sauce pan over medium heat cook apple mixture with 2 Tablespoons water and 1 Tablespoon butter. Stir mixture occasionally. Cook for about 10 minutes or until apples are tender.
