Happy National Hamburger Day! If you are of the non-meat eating type or simply enjoy a veggie option every now and then, give this Black Bean & Oat Burger recipe a try. It’s quick, simple and tasty.
Black Bean & Oat Burgers
1 can (15oz) Clearly Organic Black Beans
2 tbsp Clearly Organic Ketchup
1 tbsp Clearly Organic Mustard
1 tsp Clearly Organic Garlic powder
1 tsp Clearly Organic Onion powder
1/3 cup Clearly Organic Oats
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease cookie sheet with cooking spray.
Drain and rinse beans. In a large bowl, mash beans. (There will still be a few half beans in tact). Mix in ketchup, mustard, garlic powder and onion powder. Once completely combined, add oats and stir. With hands, form three patties and place on cookie sheet.
Bake 5 minutes. Flip patties and bake for 5 -10 more minutes.
Serve on bun, toasted bread, or in a lettuce wrap with all of your favorite burger toppings!
